Steps to create database in ms access and the process to open access database with description.

To start the access program, you should go to “Microsoft Office” package and then find “Microsoft Access 2007” from “Programs” option in windows operating system. Now a window has come. There are many steps to create database in ms access. Now select “Blank Database” option from middle pane of the window and write the file name in the right pane and choose the “Create” button. As a result, a blank database has been created. Now you can create, modify all the objects in it.
After opening the access platform you will find the four tabs. The tabs are Home, Create, External Data, Database Tools. The home tab contains cut, copy, paste, font, alignment and other important commands. The create tab has table, forms, reports,macro, module related commands which can be used to perform creation and modification functions for that objects. The third tab “External Data” holds import and export functionalities. In the fourth tab, it has Visual Basic, Run Macro, Relationship related functions.
Northwind is a simple database of “Northwind Traders” company. It is given with microsoft access 2007. This contains all kinds of purchase, sales, suppliers, customers transaction records. And also it has many forms to give entry. It generates many reports to view transaction data.
To download Northwind database:
First, you have to open MS Access 2007.
Second, click on “Sample” option. Then you will see “Northwind 2007”.
Third, choose “Northwind 2007” and click on “Create” button.
Finally it will create the Northwind database. Now you can open its tables, forms, reports, macros, modules. The source code of this file is open. So, you can see all VBA programs and can also use the VBA code in your software.
